Welcome, Detective!

These are the rules of the game. We've kept them short because life's too short for legal jargon.

The Basics

By using our service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, well, the case remains unsolved.

Your Account

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe
  • One account per person
  • Don't share your account (but do invite guests - see below!)
  • You must be 13 or older to play

Fair Usage & AI Costs

You can replay games as many times as you want. We encourage it! But here's what you should know:

  • Each time you play, AI interactions cost real money on our servers
  • We track all AI usage (behind the scenes, for operational purposes)
  • We apply a generous fair usage policy - normal replay is totally fine
  • What's NOT okay: Excessive or automated requests, intentional credit farming, or abusing the AI
Important: Accounts that abuse the AI feature or engage in excessive or automated usage will be locked without refund. We're reasonable and track patterns, not individual plays. Normal gameplay - even replaying your favorite mysteries multiple times - is completely fine.

Acceptable Use

Don't be a villain:

  • No abusing the AI (harassment, illegal content, etc.)
  • No attempting to break, hack, or reverse-engineer the service
  • No commercial use without permission
  • No impersonating others

We reserve the right to ban accounts that break these rules. Mysteries only, please.

Refunds

  • Games and credits are non-refundable once purchased
  • Technical issues? Contact us and we'll investigate
  • We're reasonable humans, not corporate automatons

Content & Ownership

  • The games, AI, and platform are ours
  • Your conversations and gameplay remain yours (but we can store them per our Privacy Policy)
  • We may use anonymized gameplay data to improve the service

Service Availability

We'll do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but:

  • We can't guarantee 100% uptime
  • We may need to do maintenance
  • Features may change or be removed
  • We reserve the right to discontinue the service (with notice)

Liability

We provide the service "as is." We're not liable for:

  • Lost progress or data
  • Service interruptions
  • Any indirect damages

Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll notify you via email. Continued use means you accept the new terms.

Termination

  • You can delete your account anytime
  • We can terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Unused credits are forfeited upon termination

Governing Law

These terms are governed by UK law. Any disputes go through UK courts.
